Aww, look at Philips launching a whole iPad subsection of their site. They’re just so dang excited over there with the release of the iPad, you’d think they had invented the thing! Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t they an electronics company? I guess they decided they just can’t compete with Apple in this space so they got their hands on some neoprene and leather and went to town!
Philips boldly claims they invented the first iPod case way back in the day…which may very well be true, but these days I don’t see too many Philips accessories clogging up the Apple stores, maybe this is their big jump back in. These iPad cases look fine, “Simple Solutions” as it says on the site, with an emphasis on simple. To me these are more your iPad bags for the consumer who just needs an iPad bag and grabs the first one they see. For the style and practicality minded out there, which is nearly all iPad owners, there are much nicer options that have been already previewed on this blog. Judging from the the few pictures and description on their site, there’s just not much innovation in the bags to talk about, nothing specifically catering to the uniqueness of the iPad to write about.
However if you’re Philips brand freak and are looking for an iPad case to match your lightbulbs and toaster ovens, put down your
