I got my hands on the Enki Genius Case last week and it’s nice, if a little simplistic, but maybe that’s a good thing. This no frills hard shell back protector for your iPad 2 is wonderfully thin adding almost no bulk to your iPad 2. It’s a smooth finish but I never had any issue with it feeling slippery, overall it felt very comfortable in the hand. It comes with a thin screen protector as well, which I didn’t test. Honestly I see no need for screen protectors, the gorilla glass on the iPad is remarkably strong and scratch resistant. I’ve put my iPads through the ringer and can tell you the only thing that needs protection is the back. The case snaps on easy and looks great in Smoke, though there are also Pink and Clear available.
The screen wipe it comes with is very handy, always carry one with you if you don’t already, they take up almost no room and keep things pretty! Mine came with a neoprene zip sleeve for storage as well, though I think that may have been a bonus include for pre-orders so please check with Enki if they’re still doling them out.
Overall I have nothing bad to say about this one, it’s thin, snaps tight with a tailored fit, no bulk, and looks clean. It’s also compatible with your SmartCover if you bit the bullet on one of those. $29.99 and now shipping!
