The woven earthy goodness my iPad is sitting happily in is the CaseBag for iPad by Loktah. Actually, it’s my wife’s iPad. I was out of town when the bag arrived so, it being a feminine bag, I had her use it and give me some impressions. The first thing she noticed is that it’s a better fit for iPad 1 than iPad 2 due to the thickness, but she was impressed that since the iPad 2 is thinner, it can actually fit in the CaseBag even if it’s already inside some sort of clamshell case. This is nice for a lot of us, because I know I’m pretty attached to my Speck PixelSkin HD case, so the fact I can slip it in this bag and have it still fit perfectly is going to be a win win. It fits the iPad 1 flawlessly and as long as you don’t care about a camera cut-out for the iPad 2, that fits nicely as well, albeit a little looser.

The bag itself is understated and pretty done in a soft handmade hemp with champagne tone trim. In a world of bags that are mostly techie inspired plastic and nylon, it’s beautiful to see iPad bags like this one that looks like it was made by an artisan in a small village. Loktah specializes in all natural earthmade gear and accessories and offers a whole array of bags, folders, boxes, slipcovers. If this is your style, then you need to check them out.
My wife found the bag easy to carry with a comfortable strap that can be adjusted to hang where you like. Using the iPad while inside the CaseBag is, of course, easy. Flip the flap and you’re ready to go. The magnetic closures keep it tight when closed and the pocket on the reverse side is small, but will hold your AC adapter and iPhone, but not much else as it keeps a slim profile and doesn’t poof out much.
Unique and timeless, you’ll adore the CaseBag. You can get one now direct from Loktah, $75.00.
